BRENDA SABBAGH
In my paintings I seek to capture the idea of the instantaneous and the invisible of everyday life. I feel like a pictorial photographer, I think of the works as frames of a cinematographic sequence. I am interested in painting the essence of the moment, what is not seen, capturing what is in people sitting, lying down, sleeping, thinking, sad, that intimacy is what attracts me, in each painting I try to immortalize the sensation that runs through the scene.
When I paint, the action of comes to me, immersing myself in water, in the wateriness of the painting itself. What separates the surface of the water and the surface of the air, when one is submerged, is a two-dimensional and abstract separation surface that cannot be seen but can be measured. This point of union between one surface and another is what I am interested in working on: between figuration and geometrization, between coherence and incoherence. I think of it as a healing act, both immersing yourself in the water and immersing yourself in the paint.
"In my painterly process, fragment and faith are the cornerstones of my creative journey. My work materializes the connection between the restless and the living, between the accidental and the deliberate. In a world marked by speed and predictable outcomes, my art is a reminder to pause and immerse oneself in the truth of the imperfect. My goal is to invite the viewer to find freedom in uncertainty, beauty in the incomplete, and trust in the creative process.

Es Artista, Licenciada y Profesora en artes plásticas. Como parte de su formación obtuvo las becas de clínicas de obra realizadas por la Fundación Antorchas en dos oportunidades, teniendo como maestros a Pablo Siquier y Tulio de Sagastizábal y Graciela Sacco entre otro\as.
Continúo trabajando con diferentes medios y realizando exposiciones tanto individuales como colectivas, La última de ellas: CLARA, en la Galería Patio del Liceo en julio 2024. En el 2019 es seleccionada para el Premio Pintura de la Fundación Fortabat. En 2014 realiza la residencia para artistas Curadora Residencia, en la provincia de Santa Fé. En 2013 es becada para realizar la clínica de obra PAC en la galería Gachi Prieto.
Participa de exposiciones, ferias, de manera individual como colectiva (Galería: Guerrero Art Station, Galería Ambos Mundos, EXPOTRASTIENDA, La casona de los Olivera en Recoleta selección de artistas 2000-2007, Feria Periférica Centro Cultural Borges ) en ciudades como: Bahía Blanca (Perfecta Galería), Catamarca (CSTLL569 Arte Contemporáneo), Salta (Muestra colectiva Club Antorchas MAC), Puerto Madryn (Poética Móvil), Sudáfrica (1st Durban Video Festival: 2005 Organiza: Pulse) y Buenos Aires (ARTE BA galerías: Central de Proyectos, Hache, Broderson & Martinez). También contó con la participación de una muestra y subasta artística en la plaza Reina de Holanda, Una colaboración de la Embajada del Reino de los Países Bajos, Philips, LALCEC, 2010.
Su formación se completa con cursos que realiza en diversos temas de su interés, tales como técnica en cerámica, investigación en color, el Posgrado en Arte Terapia (UNA), cursos relacionados con teoría en arte contemporáneo, se desempeñó en el área de educación en prestigiosas instituciones como MALBA.
BIO Giselle Bliman
B. Tucumán, Argentina.
Giselle Bliman is an artist with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Teaching Degree in Fine Arts. As part of her training, she was twice awarded critique workshop grants by the Fundación Antorchas, studying under mentors such as Pablo Siquier, Tulio de Sagastizábal, and Graciela Sacco, among others.
She continues to work across diverse media, presenting both solo and group exhibitions—most recently CLARA at Galería Patio del Liceo in July 2024. In 2019, she was selected for the Fundación Fortabat Painting Award. In 2014, she completed the Curadora artist residency in the province of Santa Fe, and in 2013, she received a grant to participate in the PAC art critique program at Gachi Prieto Gallery.
She has participated in solo and group exhibitions and art fairs (including Guerrero Art Station Gallery, Galería Ambos Mundos, EXPOTRASTIENDA, La Casona de los Olivera in Recoleta [Artist Selection 2000–2007], and Feria Periférica at Centro Cultural Borges) in cities and locations such as Bahía Blanca (Perfecta Galería), Catamarca (CSTLL569 Arte Contemporáneo), Salta (Club Antorchas group exhibition at MAC), Puerto Madryn (Poética Móvil), South Africa (1st Durban Video Festival, 2005, organized by Pulse), and Buenos Aires (arteBA with galleries such as Central de Proyectos, Hache, and Broderson & Martinez). She also participated in an art exhibition and auction at Plaza Reina de Holanda, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Philips, and LALCEC (2010).
Her training is complemented by studies in ceramics techniques, color research, a Postgraduate Degree in Art Therapy (UNA), and coursework in contemporary art theory. Additionally, she has worked in art education at prestigious institutions such as MALBA.
